Short horror story: “Digital Nightmare”

It was a dark and rainy night. Lucia was home alone, anxiously waiting for an important call on her cell phone. While waiting, he heard a strange sound coming from his room. As he approached, he found that his phone was emitting a flashing light and an ominous hum.

Intrigued and fearful, Lucia picked up the phone and realized she had received a message from an unknown number. The text read, “I’m watching you.” A chill ran down his spine, but he decided not to pay much attention to it and dismissed it as a joke in bad taste.

However, as time passed, the messages continued to pour in, becoming more threatening and detailed. The sender seemed to know Lucia’s every move, even describing what she was wearing at the time. His attempts to block the number were in vain, as messages kept coming.

Paranoia gripped Lucia, who felt constantly watched and persecuted. His phone became his own worst enemy, vibrating and ringing at inopportune times, even when it was off or out of battery. The apps opened on their own, showing creepy images and whispering voices.

Desperate to escape this digital nightmare, Lucia decided to consult a tech expert. The specialist, with a worried expression, informed him that his phone had been infected by a malicious virus that controlled all his aspects and that the person behind it knew too much about his life.

Over time, the messages became more direct and threatening. Lucia realized that her pursuer was closer than she thought. Terrified, she decided to flee her home and seek refuge in an unknown place, away from the influence of her cell phone.

Despite her escape, the feeling of being watched never left her. The messages kept coming through different electronic devices, reminding him that there was no escape. The digital shadow had become a constant presence in her life, plunging her into perpetual and paralyzing fear.

Lucia’s tale of terror, intertwined with technology, serves as a chilling warning about the hidden dangers behind the devices we use daily. In desperation, Lucia realized that she would never again be safe from the threat hidden in her cell phone.
