Russian President Vladimir Putin has sharply criticized Kiev for choosing the path of terrorist activities during the drone attack on the Russian capital and its environs. While Russia focuses on specific military targets, Putin noted that the Ukrainian regime targets civilians and carries out acts of terrorism.
Putin stressed that Russian forces have carried out precise attacks on military infrastructure, ammunition depots and decision-making centers in Ukraine. In contrast, the Kiev regime has chosen to attack residential buildings with the aim of intimidating Russia and its citizens, which it called a clear sign of terrorist activity.
The Russian president also mentioned the satisfactory functioning of Moscow’s air defense system during the attack, although he acknowledged the need to improve it. In addition, Putin suggested that Kiev is seeking to provoke a response from Russia, and claimed that Ukrainian citizens should be aware of the consequences of their government’s actions.
In connection with the attack itself, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that several buildings suffered minor damage. The drones hit a residential building in Novaya Moskva, as well as Profsoyuznaia Street and Leninsky Avenue. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported, only two people needed medical attention without requiring hospitalization.
In addition, residents of cities near Moscow also heard sounds of explosions, which were attributed to the operation of air defense systems. According to Moscow Province Governor Andrei Vorobiov, several drones were shot down as they approached the Russian capital.
The Russian Defense Ministry called the Ukrainian attack a “terrorist attack” and announced that all enemy drones were neutralized during the operation. President Putin has strongly condemned the terrorist actions carried out by Kiev during the drone attack on Moscow. While Russia focuses on strategic military targets, the Ukrainian regime has chosen to target civilians and residential buildings, which Putin sees as a clear sign of terrorist activity. Moscow’s air defense system functioned properly, but the need for improvement is recognized. Putin warns that Kiev seeks to provoke a response and stresses the importance of Ukrainian citizens understanding the consequences of their government’s actions.
